We started the discussions with technology and how digital solutions can help enhance the guest experience, yet it comes with its own set of challenges and no perfect solution or one-size fits all, as given by the perspectives of Yoordi, Arivliving and CitizenM
Just putting your head down and working hard is not enough to get noticed and promoted. Women
have to learn to be better at speaking up and asking for those opportunities. Is this the reason why we have the gap between male and female careers?
Questions askedduring interviews for women vs men are still different. Especially around childcare responsibilities. Another topic that was also discussed during the London roundtable, where women have to prove themselves twice as hard as men do.
One point we all agreed on is to be better at networking, not be afraid to reach out to one
another and build your support system.
As I continue my travels, I hope to organise more roundtables in other cities. Looking forward
to connecting to many others.
