🇭🇰 On Wednesday the 17th of September, I had the honour to moderate apanel with four inspiring ladies during IHIF Asia at the Regent in Hong Kong.
Ying Ying Koh, Vice President, Franchise Performance and Holiday Inn Express, IHG Greater China
Jia Wu, Chief Operations Officer China, Club Med
Samantha Manigsaca, Director and Vice President for Hospitality, AppleOne Group
Saowarin Chanprakaisi, Vice President of Business Development, The Ascott Limited
Our topic was Women inHospitality: Breaking Barriers, Leading the Change
And within that wecovered the following four areas:
⛰️What does successmean to you?
⛰️ What were thekey turning points in your career?
⛰️ How to impactyour visibility by being your authentic self
⛰️ How do we asleaders inspire others to follow the career they desire
🙏 I am so grateful to each panellists who shared with such openness and honesty. Each of
us with different backgrounds both professional and personally, different paths to hospitality but one thing in common to be mistress of our own destiny.
My closing remarks were about communication. The importance of it in so many areas of your career. It is important for each of us to say yes to being on this panel for our own visibility. And communication is a two way street. My thanks goes to the audience members who were in the room with us and listened.
Listening is perhaps more powerful than speaking and I thank each person who
leaned it to hear what we have to say.
